FAQs

A rising stem design allows the stem position to indicate valve opening and closing, while a non-rising stem design keeps the stem within the valve body. The choice depends on available installation space, operating requirements and project specifications.
RKSfluid Resilient Seated Gate Valves are available from DN40 to DN1000 for non-rising stem designs and DN40 to DN600 for rising stem designs. Pressure ratings include PN10 and PN16, with additional PN25 options depending on size and configuration.
These valves are designed for raw water, drinking water and sewage applications. The resilient seat provides reliable sealing for water pipeline systems when the valve is selected according to the required pressure, temperature and medium.
Depending on the configuration, the valve can be designed according to BS 5163, DIN 3352 or AWWA C515. Face-to-face dimensions may follow BS 5163, DIN 3202 F4/F5 or AWWA C515.
RKSfluid Resilient Seated Gate Valves can be configured according to project requirements, including EN 1092-2, ASME B16.10 and AS 4087 flange requirements. The flange standard should be confirmed before ordering.
The valve body is made of ductile iron, while the disc uses ductile iron with NBR or EPDM sealing. The appropriate sealing material should be selected according to the medium and operating conditions.
