Seawater is an electrolyte solution containing many salts and is dissolved in a certain amount of oxygen. Most of the metal materials are electrochemically corroded in seawater. The high chloride ion content in seawater increases the corrosion rate, while the currents and sands produce low-frequency reciprocating stresses and impacts on metal components. Ordinary seawater resistant butterfly valve, in order to adapt to the corrosion of chloride ions in seawater, the valve body, disc and other accessories are usually made of duplex stainless steel, titanium alloy and aluminum bronze. The seawater resistant butterfly valves made of the above materials have their own The defects do not fully meet the needs of seawater conditions. For example, titanium alloy butterfly valves, although all aspects of performance are superior, but titanium and titanium alloy smelting technology is difficult, the way to obtain titanium alloy castings is difficult, difficult to process, and the price is very expensive. If the butterfly valve made of duplex stainless steel is resistant to chloride ion corrosion, the erosion resistance is not good, and the flow passage and sealing surface are easily damaged by the flushing, which causes the sealing surface of the butterfly valve to leak.

The seawater resistant butterfly valve produced by RKSfluid has the following characteristics compared to the ordinary seawater butterfly valve:

1. The optimized design of the butterfly plate can effectively increase the overflow area of the butterfly valve and reduce the fluid resistance;
2. According to different working conditions, choose the appropriate butterfly sealing ring to ensure that the valve will not produce internal leakage during an inspection cycle;
3. The valve body, butterfly plate, pressure ring and other parts are made of carbon steel, aluminum bronze or ductile iron with coating, which can effectively reduce the manufacturing cost. All the contact parts with the medium are sprayed with nylon and other wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant coating. Increase the valve's resistance to seawater corrosion and erosion;
4. The valve sleeve is made of duplex stainless steel material and has an interference fit with the shaft hole on the valve body to effectively prevent the corrosion of seawater on the shaft hole of the valve body;
5. There is a damper between the valve stem and the sleeve, the function is to prevent seawater from infiltrating between the valve stem and the sleeve, and to eliminate corrosion of the valve stem and the sleeve by seawater. At the same time, the mud sand in the seawater is prevented from infiltrating into the gap between the valve stem and the sleeve, thereby causing the valve stem to engage with the sleeve, thereby effectively improving the service life of the valve;
6. The valve seat sealing surface is surfacing and welding duplex stainless steel, which can wear-resist and anti-scour, effectively improve the sealing reliability of the valve;
7. PTFE + V type EPDM packing is used to ensure that the valve does not leak outside during an overhaul period.
