The flap valve normally be used as water conservancy facility. It is a one-way valve installed at the outlet of a riverside drainage pipe. When the river tide level is higher than the outlet, and the pressure is greater than the pressure inside the pipe, the flap automatically closes to prevent the river tide from backing up into the drainage pipe.
When the pressure inside the pipe is greater than the pressure outside of the flap then it opens and the medium inside the pipe is discharged, when the pressure from the drainage is released it will close. Thus preventing debris from the outside entering the pipe.
